With Hidden Pony’s Mike “Parkside” Renaud already a part of the Slaight Music family, coming on board as a key consultant in 2017, the new partnership will continue to solidify the work both organizations have strived to achieve in elevating Canadian talent.

“On behalf of Gary Slaight and the Slaight Music Team, we are very excited to be partnering with Mike “Parkside” Renaud and the team at Hidden Pony as we continue our mission to develop, support and promote Canadian Musicians,” says Derrick Ross, Slaight Music President.
“Mike and I began working together over 20 years ago and most recently within the Slaight Music family with Mike taking on a consulting role in artist development and strategic initiatives. His instinct for discovering unique talent and his passion in developing and managing artist for the long haul is very much in line with our philosophy at Slaight Music, and I am very proud that we are able to solidify our great relationship further.”

“I’m incredibly excited to welcome Gary, Derrick and the team at Slaight Music as my partners in Hidden Pony Records & Management,” says Renaud of the partnership. “With our shared passion for artist development, I believe combining our strengths will create a formidable place for artists to turn for guidance in their careers. My passion for artist development was gifted to me by Donald Tarlton, my mentor and business partner of 15 years, who I thank endlessly for his guidance, patience and love."

Slaight Music’s mandate is to support the Canadian music community through a variety of initiatives, and to develop Canadian talent via strategic partnerships with industry peers. The company works with Canadian artists of all genres from across the country, helping to further careers and ensure great music is heard.
