SAID THE WHALE will be touring Canada in the spring of 2016 in a reverse engineering exercise to road test new material for their next album. The Juno-award winning group have committed to a tour with a full set of songs that literally haven’t been written yet. Hidden Pony Records are pleased to announce the new signing of The Elwins to their roster. With a brand new full length album on the horizon for 2015, the label is ecstatic about the new partnership.

We’re celebrating our 5th birthday at the fest with our anniversary showcase#HBHP Toronto presented by Indie88. The afternoon at the Horseshoe Tavern features our latest signing, Royal Tusk, who just put out their upbeat debut EP Mountain. Rah Rah, Odds and The Danks are all aboard too. We’re excited to have Edmonton pop-rock outfit Royal Tusk join the Hidden Pony family for their upbeat debut EP, Mountain. You might even recognise frontman Daniel Carriere and bassist Sandy MacKinnon from the JUNO-nominated group Ten Second Epic. The veteran musicians are set to tour Mountain across the country from Toronto to Saskatoon this month. For fans, this is just one way to get to know Royal Tusk. Recently, our friends over at Audio Blood trekked to High Park Dog Park with a couple of cameras to gauge some dog groupies’ reactions to Mountain. The dogs in attendance were taking in the morning sun when “Shadow of Love”, Royal Tusk’s debut single, started pumping.Between the track’s carefree take on lost love and the impeccable album artwork hanging from the trees, these dogs couldn’t get enough of it.
